Cochecton, NY

This property was built from scratch on old pasture land about one mile from the Delaware River and 18 miles West of Monticello, NY. The large 3,200 sq ft building houses a 800 sq ft high end apartment on the south end and a 1,800 sq ft studio on the north. The guiding concept was based on the old Soho artist’s loft - home and studio integrated into one giant live/work space built within a brand new agricultural structure. The entire building has radiant heat in the concrete slab, giant Anderson windows, and a minimalist inspired living space. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1-1/2 bathrooms, and a large living room, dining room and kitchen ‘great room’.

The construction here paid great attention to detail - visual lines, different ceiling levels, shifting proportions - to achieve the clean minimalist look.
