Clinton Hill Project
This project in the middle of historic Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, entailed a gut renovation (and combination of two previously divided apartments) of a duplex apartment in a private Italianate Brownstone that was in need of attention. The renovation included a new kitchen, two bathrooms, a living and dining room and three bedrooms, with all new layout design, surfaces and finishes. Existing Bathrooms were relocated and completely re-designed and re-built. New windows and doors were installed and the layout was re-designed to fit a young family’s needs. All new custom historical plaster crown moldings and medallions on the parlor floor were installed with new historical panel doors and casings, and baseboards. Details were carefully crafted and reflected the clients’ soft dream like aesthetic with emphasis on high quality materials and finishes. A split cooling and heating system was installed along with new steam radiators on the existing system. A gigantic air handler was installed and disguised in the kitchen ceiling.
